TON SAETUERN, AMFT, APCC

About Ton…

Ton is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a uniquely rich background in both healthcare and military service. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Fayetteville State University and later completed her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at California State University, Sacramento.

Before becoming a therapist, Ton served over 21 years in the U.S. Army, a career that took her to many parts of the world and gave her firsthand experience with resilience, stress, trauma, and life transitions. In addition, she spent more than a decade working as a Registered ICU Nurse, supporting individuals and families through high-pressure, emotionally complex situations. These combined experiences deeply inform her grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy.

Ton believes that healing happens through connection. She practices from a relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed lens, recognizing how both individual and generational experiences shape emotional well-being. Her communication style is direct, honest, and supportive, and she values the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for emotional safety and meaningful change. While she offers warmth and empathy, Ton is also not afraid to gently challenge clients to move toward their goals.
